Sky Pumping the First Water from a Village’s New Borehole
We had the joy of celebrating the new borehole in a village. It was my privilege to pump the first jerry can, and I must admit that it was a good workout. Clean water brings health and a sense of community. The villagers worked hard to prepare for the installation of the borehole. They had to work to change hygiene and sanitation habits in order to develop a healthy village. Ugandans know how to celebrate! It was just one rewarding and fun day of a trip filled with gratitude and connection.
